At GoDaddy the future of work looks different for each team. Some teams work in the office full-time, others have a hybrid arrangement (they work remotely some days and in the office some days) and some work entirely remotely.

This is a hybrid position. You’ll divide your time between working remotely from your home and an office, so you should live within commuting distance. Hybrid teams may work in-office as much as a few times a week or as little as once a month or quarter, as decided by leadership. The hiring manager can share more about what hybrid work might look like for this team.

GoDaddy is on a mission to empower small and medium entrepreneurs to sell anywhere. GoDaddy Payments plays a key role by enabling GoDaddy customers to be able to accept payments via all channels with lowest payment processing fees in the industry.

As a Principal Product Manager on the GoDaddy Commerce team, you will lead the product strategy for merchant lending products. You will define the end to end experience and platform needs for GoDaddy Payments customers to qualify, sign-up and manage the working capital (aka cash advance) experience. By its nature, payments involve a good deal of regulatory and fraud risk aspects, so your mission would be to build a platform that hosts the capabilities to fulfil those risk and compliance needs while keeping the friction minimal for the good customers.

You’ll have the opportunity to build and scale the platform and drive industry leading experiences. You will drive KPIs that directly affect the top line and bottom line for GoDaddy Commerce.

What you'll get to do...

  • Develop a deep understanding of the GoDaddy customer segments, Payments industry, competitors, customer pain points, and major opportunities.
  • Learn from data and customer feedback (internal and external) to identify new opportunities to improve the platform and the end user experience.
  • Evaluate vendor services as well as make build vs. use decisions for your product needs.
  • Partner closely with Risk/Credit to design underwriting strategies, eligibility frameworks, pricing models, credit policies, and Risk guardrails.
  • Work with the engineers to prioritize, sequence, and deliver new capabilities while using our agile process and platform mindset.
  • Measure product performance across adoption, utilization, payback behavior, losses, and business impact.

Your experience should include...

  • 7+ years of product management experience in building customer facing and platform-based products. Payments or lending experience would be a plus.
  • Ability to understand complex technology and platform constraints and come up with creative solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, design, and marketing/business counterparts to deliver online products/services.
  • Strong entrepreneurial spirit - hard-working, individually accountable, passionate about business results who can completely own the delivery of high value initiatives.
  • Strong Project Management skills - rally several cross-functional teams to successful launches, document trade offs and keep the leadership up to date.

You might also have...

  • Experience using JIRA, Quicksight, and/or FullStory.
  • Demonstrated success in building and scaling credit or capital products.
  • Experience working on remote and distributed teams.

We've got your back...  We offer a range of total rewards that may include paid time off, retirement savings (e.g., 401k, pension schemes), bonus/incentive eligibility, equity grants, participation in our employee stock purchase plan, competitive health benefits, and other family-friendly benefits including parental leave.
