We are looking for a Professional to assist in building and strengthening our new-generation Risk strategy. GoDaddy is a global product seller to customers from all over the world. This makes GoDaddy a primary target for fraud and abuse activities. GoDaddy’s Risk strategy has a responsibility to stop bad actors and prevent any future suspicious activity across GoDaddy. Using your proven expertise in data exploration, modeling, and analytics, combined with technical experience to effectively manage and update rule settings. You will work closely with diverse functional teams across the company and beyond to measure, monitor, and improve risk rule performance. Drawing on your strong analytical background, you will contribute to driving significant changes in our risk rule capabilities.

What you'll get to do...

• Analyze patterns of compromise, abuse, and other fraudulent activities to develop counteractions
• Develop and optimize rulesets for various existing and new risk areas, improving risk mitigation efforts
• Build and refine reporting packages, identifying automation opportunities for analyzing risk rule performance
• Troubleshoot complex production issues involving code, data, models, experiment design, and measurement
• Present innovative ideas and solutions, ensuring minimal impact on genuine customers within our high-speed and reliable Risk Platform
• Collaborate within a scrum team and engage with collaborators, product managers, ML/AI scientists, and operations teams across and beyond the eCommerce group

Your experience should include...

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mathematics, informatics, physics, or a related field
• 4+ years of experience in data analysis, including proficiency with regular expressions, report creation, financial modeling, and automation using R, JSON, Python, SQL, Tableau, and QuickSight
• Hands-on experience with fraud and risk mitigation, including fraud/anomaly detection, ruleset creation, and large data set analysis, with a solid understanding of statistical calculations
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work closely with collaborators and lead large-scale projects from start to finish
• Preferred experience in both fraud detection and payment-related fields
