At GoDaddy the future of work looks different for each team. Some teams work in the office full-time; others have a hybrid arrangement (they work remotely some days and in the office some days) and some work entirely remotely.

This is a hybrid position. You’ll divide your time between working remotely from your home and an office, so you should live within commuting distance. Hybrid teams may work in-office as much as a few times a week or as little as once a month or quarter, as decided by leadership. The hiring manager can share more about what hybrid work might look like for this team.

What you'll get to do...

  • Build next‑generation e‑commerce tools and services using React on the front end and Java (Spring Boot) on the back end
  • Take end‑to‑end ownership of microservices, including architecture, design, implementation, deployment, and continuous improvement
  • Contribute technical leadership in an agile environment by planning milestones and collaborating closely with product, design, and finance teams, including working with distributed teams in US time zones
  • Lead design and code reviews, uphold coding standards, improve engineering practices, and troubleshoot complex production issues to enhance system performance and reliability
  • Mentor and support other engineers, drive innovation through emerging technologies, partner with product and finance on data‑driven and observable solutions, and contribute to internal technical initiatives

Your experience should include...

  • 6+ years of software engineering experience building full‑stack solutions, including leading the design and delivery of complex features or services
  • Strong experience building modern web applications using JavaScript/TypeScript with React (or similar component‑based frameworks), and designing/consuming RESTful APIs over HTTP
  • Strong backend expertise building microservices using Java with Spring Boot (or similar frameworks), supported by solid testing practices including unit and integration tests
  • Hands-on experience with AI‑assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code), along with experience using Git, CI/CD workflows (e.g., GitHub Actions), and DevOps‑oriented practices
  • Experience working in an agile environment, collaborating with cross‑functional teams, and contributing to continuous improvement of both the product and the engineering process

You might also have...

  • Experience working with cloud platform technologies on AWS (e.g., DynamoDB, Fargate, or similar managed services)
  • Experience with modern React ecosystem tools such as Next.js, Redux (or other state management libraries), and Webpack (or similar build tooling)
  • Experience working with relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server, including writing queries and stored procedures
  • Experience owning observability for services (metrics, logging, tracing, dashboards, and alerting) and using those insights to drive improvements

We've got your back...  We offer a range of total rewards that may include paid time off, retirement savings (e.g., 401k, pension schemes), bonus/incentive eligibility, equity grants, participation in our employee stock purchase plan, competitive health benefits, and other family-friendly benefits including parental leave.
